You should have come from Laurie Flannery
This months hop is all about colors. Close to My Heart has an exclusive palette of 60 colors that you can mix and match. Plus they even help give you ideas. Jeanette Lynton Has an archive of colors under "color me monday", which she no longer does this year, but you can still check them out. Plus in every Idea book, they print the colors they use on the page in the top corner. WHen they use examples for the stamps, sometimes they come up with combonations that are not from the paper packets.
I used a color combo found on pg 118 in our new idea book. I just loved the combo of chocolate, grey flannel and petal. It was so elegant.
I used this combo to make a sympathy / thinking of you card. I used petal as an accent color so it didn't come off as too cheery. Its better to go with lighter colors for these type of cards. I "kissed' the bird to give him the texture. He started off Grey Flannel and I used the script from universal backgrounds with petal and pressed that against the bird stamp.
The next blog in the hop is Adeline Brill
Thank you for joining the hop.
